Marswell * Heartfelt Support for College Students

Last week, the Hubei Youth Development Foundation visited Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd. to hold the inaugural symposium on the “Marswell” Scholarship Fund.
This symposium discussed the organizational structure and management functions of the Marswell Scholarship Foundation, and also clarified the plan for the foundation’s first charitable activity.
In September, we will visit Dасунshu Primary School in Changping Town, Wufeng County, Yichang City, and E’ping Town Central Primary School in Zhuxi County, Shiyan City, to provide free school uniforms and bedding to 240 underprivileged students, enabling them to greet the new semester with a fresh look and fully enjoy the learning process.
During the symposium, staff mentioned that an orphan in the Shennongjia Forest District of Hubei Province had been admitted to a university this year but was planning to drop out and take up work due to lack of funds. Upon hearing this, General Manager Gao Huoxing was deeply moved and promptly dispatched personnel to investigate the situation.
Gao Sheng, a native of Qingquan Village in Songbai Town, Shennongjia Forestry District, Hubei Province, is a 2019 high school graduate. This September, he was admitted to Wuhan Optics Valley Vocational College. He has always been an exceptionally diligent and studious student in his village; however, with annual tuition and living expenses totaling more than 10,000 yuan, the prospect of attending a prestigious university has seemed out of reach.
“We can’t let children be unable to afford education; our country is currently severely lacking in technical talent!” After learning about Gao Sheng’s actual situation, Gao Xing, General Manager of Marswell, immediately expressed his willingness to personally cover all of Gao Sheng’s tuition and living expenses for three years, and promised to help secure a job for him upon graduation, as long as he is willing.
On September 6, the first day of school registration, Marswell specially arranged for its staff to escort student Gao Sheng to the school for registration and prepared all his daily necessities.
We hope that, throughout her future studies, student Gao Sheng will feel the care and support of all sectors of society, appreciate the challenges of learning, cherish everything she has, and strive to spread positive energy. May she use the knowledge she acquires to give back to society and contribute to the greater strength and prosperity of our motherland.
PS. The “Marswell” Scholarship Fund of the Hubei Youth Foundation was initiated by Gao Marswell, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., in December 2018 and officially approved by the Hubei Project Hope Youth Foundation in June 2019. The fund is dedicated to providing targeted assistance to underprivileged children in mountainous areas and improving their learning environment and living conditions.
The slogan of the Scholarship Fund is: “By cutting back on just one pack of premium cigarettes, one bottle of fine wine, or one lavish meal, you can help children in mountainous regions lead better lives.” The fund’s goal is to support 1,000 children over the next five years; to date, it has secured sponsorship commitments for more than 400 students, raising a total of RMB 256,000 in charitable donations.
