Marswell Leads the Public Welfare Chorus of Love-Based Education

In the beautiful season of crisp autumn air, fragrant osmanthus, and abundant harvests, after a four-month hiatus, Mr. Gao Marswell, the initiator of the Marswell Scholarship Fund of the Hubei Youth Foundation, together with a group of caring entrepreneurs, once again visited Dapengshu Primary School in Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, Yichang City—a place surrounded by mountains and boasting picturesque scenery—to bring warmth to the local children.
Dасуншу Primary School in Changleping Town, Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, currently has 100 students. Most of these students live more than 10 kilometers from the school, and 80% are boarders; among them, children left behind by migrating parents and those from single-parent families account for 50%.
On this occasion, a delegation led by Mr. Gao Houxing, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd.; Mr. Hao Jiegang, General Manager of Wuhan Lvyе Kanghao Company; Mr. Gao Yanjun, Director of Platinum Liquor at Moutai Group; Mr. Gao Aimin, Secretary-General of the Yichang Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Gao Wenjian, former Deputy Director of the Jiang’an District Health Bureau; and Mr. Zhang Hui, General Manager of Sinopec Central China Hubei Company, drove specially to Dасongshu Primary School to donate two sets of autumn school uniforms and one set of bedding (cotton quilt, cotton filling, pillow, bed sheet, quilt cover, and pillowcase) to each of the 100 students. In addition, starting next spring, another two sets of spring school uniforms will be donated to each student. This is another continuation of their charitable efforts following the donation made on the 24th of this month to the Central School in Eping Township, Zhuxi County, Shiyan City.
At the donation ceremony in Wufeng, Gao Huoxing delivered a speech titled “Let Compassion Accompany Children as They Grow.” He stated, “Although Wufeng and Wuhan are thousands of miles apart, we are bound by a shared commitment to love. Children are the future of our nation and our people; nurturing and educating them is not only the responsibility of schools, but also an inescapable duty of society—and indeed, of every individual. We will steadfastly regard our charitable education initiatives as a vital means of promoting and passing on noble virtues and cultural heritage.” He concluded by wishing all the children continued progress in their studies and healthy development.
Zhong Weidong, Vice County Magistrate of Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County; Li Wei, Deputy Director of the County Education Bureau; Song Fangrong, Chairperson of the County Education Bureau’s Trade Union; and school administrators expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the donations from caring individuals. They expressed the hope that more compassionate donors will continue to support education, thereby accelerating the achievement of poverty alleviation through education, and encouraged the students to study hard so that, upon growing up, they can actively contribute to society.
Children in their new school uniforms are beaming with smiles, feeling the warmth of love in their hearts as they wear the clothes. As Gao Huoxing, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., said: “A single spark can start a prairie fire; we must lead a grand chorus of charitable education assistance.”

The “Marswell” Scholarship Fund of the Hubei Youth Foundation was initiated by Gao Marswell, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., in December 2018 and officially accredited by the Hubei Project Hope Youth Foundation in June 2019. The fund is dedicated to providing targeted assistance to underprivileged children in mountainous areas, with the aim of improving their learning environment and living conditions.
The slogan of the Scholarship Fund is: “By cutting back on just one pack of premium cigarettes, one bottle of fine wine, or one lavish meal, you can help children in mountainous regions lead better lives.” The fund’s goal is to provide support to 1,000 children within five years; to date, it has secured sponsorship commitments for more than 400 students, raising a total of RMB 256,000 in charitable donations.
