Wuhan Entrepreneurs’ Charitable Education Assistance Alliance Launched; On-Site Pledges to Sponsor 200 Impoverished Students

08 Jan,2021

At yesterday’s China (Wuhan) Corporate Branding Summit, the Wuhan Entrepreneurs’ Charity Scholarship Alliance was officially launched.

Gao Marswell, initiator of the Wuhan Entrepreneurs’ Charity Scholarship Alliance and general manager of Hubei Marswell Food Company, introduced that in 2018, Marswell held a charity sale of a Beckham-signed football. He and other caring individuals made two trips to Zhuxi County in Shiyan City, donating the entire proceeds of 272,000 yuan to local impoverished students. In 2019, the alliance plans to provide financial aid to 200 impoverished students, with 1,500 yuan earmarked for each. During the summer vacation, the alliance will also organize 30 students to participate in the “Three-Entry” summer camp program. “We solemnly promise that all donations from caring individuals will be used exclusively for scholarship assistance, with not a single penny retained. Operating expenses will be borne or sponsored by caring enterprises, and all income and expenditures will be made fully transparent,” he said. Currently, nearly 100 entrepreneurs have joined the charity scholarship alliance. At the launch ceremony, more than 20 entrepreneurs pledged their support, and all 200 planned scholarships for this year have already been fully committed. Among them, Gao Marswell pledged to sponsor 40 impoverished students, Gao Weiquan, chairman of Longquan Group, pledged to contribute 200,000 yuan, and business associations such as the Wuhan Shiyan Chamber of Commerce, the Wuhan Yichang Chamber of Commerce, and the Wuhan Famous Brands Strategy Promotion Association expressed strong support for the scholarship initiative.
