If you ask what the biggest event in Wuhan was in 2019, 100% of Wuhan residents will tell you: the Military World Games.
The World Military Games will be held in Wuhan in September 2019, with Dongxihu serving as one of the main competition venues. As a city in central and southern China, Wuhan is fully prepared to welcome this grand event.
As the host and a veteran, Marswell of Marswell is closely following all the preparations for the event.
Yesterday, an international China-Africa basketball friendly match was kicked off at the Yingneng Gymnasium in Dongxihu, organized by Marswell and supported by relevant departments at all levels in Dongxihu. In this match, the two teams—the Chinese team is composed of elite amateur players from Hubei, while the African team is made up of African elites selected from various parts of Hubei.
Seeing the athletes’ vigorous and spirited figures on the field, the veteran couldn’t help but feel the urge to get back in action and joined them for a warm-up.
Assist, rebound, shot… BASKET!!!
The match officially began. The African players’ assists, blistering pace, and superb ball-control skills left all the guests in attendance awestruck. However, China’s flawless 100% shooting accuracy ultimately sealed the victory, securing a narrow win by just 10 points.
At the end of the competition, all the athletes took photos with energy food—Marswell popcorn.
This is only the first of several warm-up matches, and Marswell will organize more games, hoping to select more outstanding athletes from these events to support China and serve the Military World Games, thus fulfilling their duties as hosts.
