Marswell’s Letter of Gratitude to Caring People from All Sectors of Society

Marswell Appeals to Caring People from All Sectors of Society

  Letter of Appreciation

In 2018, Marswell organized a charity sale of Beckham-signed footballs, traveled thousands of miles to donate them to a mountain primary school in Zhuxi County in northwestern Hubei, and held a “Building Dreams for Young People in Western Hubei” tour to Beijing, setting off wave after wave of charitable enthusiasm. Through communication with love, heartfelt interaction, process optimization, and striving for perfection, Marswell is ushering in a new chapter in education assistance in the new era!

With this article, I would like to express my gratitude to the 800,000 popcorn consumers of Marswell across the country, as well as to all the caring people from different sectors of society who have participated in the charity education series activities. This article also serves as a call for the Marswell Charity Enterprise Alliance to sponsor one thousand students!

Thank you, the Mars Couple, for leading the charity initiative.

We would like to express our gratitude to Ms. Hao Yuhong, Chairwoman of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., and Mr. Gao Huoxing, General Manager, for their dedication and leadership in charitable activities. Their hands-on approach and continuous efforts to refine and improve have ensured the successful completion of this series of charity events.

Five years ago, at a charity gala, Gao Houxing bid 35,000 yuan to win a Beckham-signed soccer ball, quietly lending a helping hand to children with autism. Is Gao Houxing a fan? No! So why did he bid for the ball? “It was simply the heartwarming, compassionate atmosphere at the event that moved me. For the sake of these children, I wanted to do something meaningful—and something that would bring joy!” Gao Houxing spoke with remarkable humility.

During the 2018 World Cup, he once again took photos of footballs, while philanthropists donated calligraphy and paintings for auction. The proceeds, totaling more than RMB 270,000, were all donated to mountain schools in Zhuxi County. During the World Cup, for every can of popcorn sold, RMB 0.1 was donated to sponsor academically excellent and well-behaved children from Zhuxi to visit Beijing. With the support of 800,000 consumers nationwide, a total of more than RMB 80,000 was raised (with the shortfall sponsored by General Manager Gao Houxing of JiLi Food), helping these children realize their dream of visiting Beijing.

The one-way distance from Wuhan to Zhuxi is 600 kilometers, requiring more than six hours by car. The Gao Moxing couple made two trips there to conduct on-site inspections and deliver donations—no need to dwell on how arduous those journeys were. Traveling back and forth between Wuhan and Beijing spans nearly 2,400 kilometers, with Gao Moxing providing constant accompaniment throughout the entire trip. Just the preparatory meetings were held five times across Wuhan’s three districts... In total, Gao Moxing traveled over 10,000 kilometers in support of this event.

When it comes to organizing the event, the “Mars couple” take the lead. Gao Mars presents a signed soccer ball from football superstar David Beckham, while his wife unveils her cherished rosewood pendant; together, they meticulously review every detail. Their mutual respect and deep affection clearly reveal the secret to a harmonious family and a thriving career.

Details determine success or failure. Where would the auction be held? To uphold the brand’s image, the East Lake Hotel—where the “Xi–Modi Meeting” was hosted—was chosen as the venue. Who would foot the bill for the gala dinner? Would tickets be sold, or…? Gao Houxing decided to cover the costs himself, donating the entire proceeds of 272,000 yuan from the auction to schools in Zhuxi County.

On June 19–20, Hao Yuhong, Chairwoman of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., and Gao Huoxing, General Manager, visited Zhuxi County to carry out a scholarship program. They donated seven brand-new computers to Fotai Primary School in Jiangjiayan Town, provided schoolbags and scholarships to 144 impoverished students at the central school in Eping Township, and made on-site donations totaling RMB 250,000 in cash and goods.

Children from western Hubei are touring Beijing, with an additional day added to their itinerary to visit Wuhan’s classic attractions. Who is sponsoring the trip? During the World Cup, a promotional fundraising campaign was launched: for every can of popcorn sold, 10 cents was donated, raising a total of RMB 80,000.

On the eve of the summer camp, Marswell specially designed camp uniforms, hats, event banners, and more, and solicited everyone’s opinions in the preparation group. After optimization, the items were custom-made according to the children’s height and weight. In Wuhan, catering, accommodation, transportation, and airport pickup were all carried out strictly in accordance with the company’s reception standards.

Thank you to the caring team for your collective support.

Marswell’s education assistance program has received strong support from all sectors of society. Marswell has inspired and brought together a large number of caring individuals, forming a massive charity team. Various media outlets, cultural artists, philanthropic entrepreneurs, and major business associations have all offered advice and actively participated.

How should the event be planned, and how can its highlights be effectively promoted? Senior editors, reporters, and hosts from central, provincial, and municipal media outlets have joined the organizing committee to get involved in the planning process from the very beginning. The team will travel to Zhuxi to film the school’s environment and the students’ learning conditions, invite several artists to participate in the auction, and secure an experienced auctioneer… What had initially seemed like a straightforward fundraising auction has, through everyone’s brainstorming, gradually taken shape as a well-rounded, multi-dimensional initiative, with each element meticulously organized and refined. From drafting the script and shooting photos and videos to arranging for journalists to accompany the team on interviews, coordinating media coverage, and leveraging social media for outreach, every aspect of the plan has been carefully detailed and assigned specific individuals to ensure proper execution.

Adding a touch of culture elevates the event. To enliven the auction atmosphere, in addition to David Beckham’s football, we also included several works of art as auction items. Prominent figures from the collecting and calligraphy-and-painting communities generously donated their treasures free of charge—some were cherished mementos treasured for years, others were priceless calligraphy and painting masterpieces; some even contributed multiple pieces, while others took to the stage to create live calligraphy and ink paintings. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors who contributed auction items.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every bidder. Upon learning of the charity auction, prominent figures from all walks of life traveled from Hong Kong, Beijing, Fujian, and Anhui; overseas business leaders joined via video link to offer their well-wishes. More than 100 compassionate individuals gathered at East Lake in Wuhan to witness this touching moment of generosity. Wuhan Evergrande Mineral Water Company ultimately secured a Beckham-signed soccer ball at the staggering winning bid of RMB 110,000, bringing the auction gala to a thrilling climax.

Various business associations actively stepped forward. Upon learning that the donation was earmarked for Zhuxi County, Chen Guoyun, Secretary-General of the Wuhan-Shiyan Chamber of Commerce, promptly reported the matter to the Shiyan Municipal Office of Foreign Affairs and the Zhuxi County Government, and mobilized the chamber’s entrepreneurs to participate in the auction, ultimately securing a calligraphy and painting work for nearly RMB 10,000. At the same time, he called on all member chambers of the Wuhan Prefecture-Level City Chambers of Commerce Alliance to join the effort. The Wuhan-Yichang Chamber of Commerce, as a co-organizer of the event, was fully involved in implementing the plan. Li Xiaobin, Executive Vice President of the Hubei Yingtai Academy of Calligraphy and Painting and Secretary-General of the Wuhan-Xiangyang Chamber of Commerce, upon hearing the news, donated one of his own ink masterpieces to be included in the auction.

In Beijing, Li Yuanzheng, daughter of former Vice President Li Desheng, and her husband Chen Nanzheng; Wang Xiangdong, Deputy Commander of the Zhoushan Naval Base; Zhang Xuemian, son of veteran General Zhang Zhixiu; Colonel Yu Ning from the Academy of Military Medical Sciences; as well as members of the Gao family—Gao Chikai, Gao Ling, Gao Peng, and others—engaged in interactive exchanges with the children. Meanwhile, Mr. Zhang, General Manager of Beijing Guanglixin Trading Co., Ltd., spearheaded a heartwarming relay of kindness by treating the children to a sumptuous Peking duck feast at Quanjude, where the classic, authentic flavors of Quanjude became the most delicious culinary memory of their visit to Beijing. In addition, Mr. Yang, General Manager of Beijing Liyuan Yingsheng Trading Co., Ltd., prepared exquisite Beijing specialties and other commemorative gifts for the children.

Thank you, teachers and students, for your enthusiastic participation and interaction.

The CPC County Committee and the County Government of Zhuxi have attached great importance to this event, with the County Education Bureau and all schools meticulously organizing its implementation. The strong commitment of leaders and teachers, coupled with the children’s enthusiastic participation and diligent rehearsal of their performances, has vividly demonstrated their heartfelt gratitude. This outpouring of appreciation has deeply touched the hearts of caring entrepreneurs and, in turn, strengthened their motivation to deliver an outstanding event.

When the Marswell couple went on a fact-finding mission and made a donation, the Zhuxi County Education Bureau expressed its heartfelt gratitude and warm welcome for the philanthropic entrepreneur’s kind gesture, and jointly discussed the organization of the event. During the auction, leaders from the Education Bureau were present to receive the donations. After Marswell pledged to sponsor outstanding students to visit Beijing, the county’s Education Bureau meticulously prepared and selected student representatives from Chengguan Central School, Jiangjiayan Town, Eping Township, and Huiwan Town. The Bureau conducted a comprehensive mobilization before departure, emphasizing travel precautions and discipline, and arranged for teachers to accompany the group for supervision. In particular, they organized unified rehearsals of song-and-dance performances such as “Dreams in Zhuxi,” “Why Are the Flowers So Red,” and “I Love Tiananmen Square in Beijing,” showcasing Zhuxi’s rich cultural charm and the children’s optimistic and upward-looking spirit. In Wuhan, Marswell hosted a welcome banquet, during which children from Wuhan and Zhuxi exchanged performances; in Beijing, another interactive performance was held. The children’s two performances received unanimous praise from the philanthropic entrepreneurs.

Leaders from the Zhuxi County Education Bureau, along with teachers from the Chengguan Town Central School and the Eping Township Central School, served as full-time chaperones for the children throughout the entire trip. They had no time to enjoy the scenery; their sole focus was on ensuring the children’s safe travel and proper care in terms of food and daily living, thereby guaranteeing that every child set out in good health and returned safely. Two reporters from the Shiyan Evening News also voluntarily joined the team to help with supervision and management.

Stepping out of the mountains, they broadened their horizons and pursued their dreams. From Zhuxi to Wuhan, they visited the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, Wuchang Riverside Park, Hubei Provincial Museum, and East Lake Greenway; then on to Beijing, where they toured Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Bird’s Nest, the Water Cube, and the Old Summer Palace. This carefully crafted itinerary also included a visit to JiLi Food Company and tastings of famous local delicacies such as Cai Linji and Quanjude. In total, 22 outstanding students from western Hubei realized their dream of traveling to the provincial capital, Wuhan, and the national capital, Beijing.

Thank you to the great era; thank you to our 800,000 customers.

Marswell has successively won the titles of Well-known Trademark of Wuhan City and Famous Trademark of Hubei Province. In recent years, it has been developing steadily. Many Wuhan residents grew up eating Marswell popcorn. Now, Marswell popcorn is planning a leap forward.

This is the best of times. In the military, Marswell has forged the character and qualities of a high-caliber soldier. In the business world, a single kernel of corn has grown into the leader of a niche industry. First becoming strong, then growing bigger—by focusing on the popcorn industry, Marswell exemplifies the Chinese spirit of craftsmanship. In 2018, Marswell optimized its processes, strengthened management, analyzed the market, and pursued meticulous operations, resulting in upward trends in product development, sales, profits, and taxes despite the overall market downturn. By forging powerful partnerships with research institutions, Marswell aims to expand the entire popcorn industry chain, and in the next phase, it will create even more and greater miracles.

“Thanks to the 800,000 consumers across the country—your choice has made Marswell a reality and contributed to the success of this event!” Gao Marswell said with sincere gratitude.

Spreading love across the planet, we will continue to explore ways to provide educational assistance. Currently, an alliance of caring enterprises under the Wuhan Famous Brand Strategy Promotion Association is being established. Over the next five years, we aim to unite and lead a group of entrepreneurs to sponsor 1,000 children. In addition to donating money and goods, Marswell places particular emphasis on empowering these children with knowledge and inspiring their aspirations, making it a top priority in helping mountain-area children pursue their dreams.

This is the Marswell Dream, and also the Chinese Dream of 1,000 children growing up healthy and happy.

Let us join hands, participate together, and build the Chinese Dream!
