What would the world be like if humanity lost its dreams?
Grain Rain, Gao Jiajiang: Yesterday, having dreams doesn’t necessarily make one great. But someone without dreams will never become great!
In this world, who isn’t running toward their dreams? Life gains hope only when we have dreams. Dreams are the driving force that ignites the flame of our lives.
On the final day of this summer, the heavens seemed especially kind: Beijing, which had endured more than a month of sweltering heat, suddenly turned cool.
Twenty-six children from the Marswell Dream-Building Summer Camp in Western Hubei have stepped out of the mountains and into Beijing.

They came for their dreams.
They climbed the Great Wall and beheld the majestic grandeur of their nation’s history. They entered the Forbidden City and witnessed the profound majesty of their national heritage. They visited the Old Summer Palace and confronted the painful legacy of centuries of poverty and weakness. And they gathered in Tiananmen Square, where, as the national flag rose slowly, they saw the vibrant new spirit of national rejuvenation.
In Beijing, they saw so much that they had never seen before—but what they saw went far beyond the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cube. They saw a new era, their own new dreams, and the next direction in which to run!

Gao Marswell, the sponsor of the Marswell Dream-Building Summer Camp in Western Hubei for local teenagers, is a true dream supporter. A demobilized soldier who once had dreams himself, he voluntarily spent hundreds of thousands of yuan to help outstanding students from remote areas pursue and realize their dreams. It’s not that he’s wealthy—rather, it’s because he has a big heart. As a responsible entrepreneur, he deeply understands that only when young people have dreams does the nation have hope and the ethnic group have a future. Someone once asked Gao Marswell why he was so eager to help these children chase their dreams. Marswell replied that dreams are a powerful motivator that drives children to work hard; having dreams ignites one’s passion and courage. A child without dreams loses direction in life, and with it, the foundation for personal prospects, national destiny, and human happiness is lost. What may seem like a small act is, in fact, a momentous undertaking.
It is one’s broad-mindedness that truly serves as the standard for judging a person’s spiritual and moral stature. And it is one’s capacity for good and evil that constitutes the benchmark for measuring one’s virtue. Mars’ actions provide an exemplary illustration of entrepreneurial ethics and the entrepreneurial spirit, while also offering a profound elucidation of the very essence of Gao姓 culture.
As a representative of the Gao clan in Hubei, Gao Huoxing has numerous relatives with the same surname and shared ancestry in Beijing. His arrival has kept the Gao family in the capital bustling with activity.

Today, Beijing’s Huixian Mansion is aglow with festive decorations. Several core leaders of the Beijing Gao Clan Association hosted a banquet for these children, observing the highest standards of hospitality. Key members of the association—including Gao Ling, Gao Hongxing, Gao Ping, Gao Yimin, Gao Xunyin, and Gao Peng—were all present, volunteering their time and effort to ensure the event ran smoothly.
In addition, several prominent guests with big hearts have also come to lend their support to today’s public welfare event.

Li Yuanzheng, daughter of Li Desheng, former Vice Chairman of the CPC Central Committee, and her husband, Chen Nanzheng; Wang Xiangdong, former Deputy Commander of the Zhoushan Naval Base; Zhang Xuemin, son of General Zhang Zhi-xiu, former Commander of the Kunming Military Region and Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee; Yu Ning, Director of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, and others. They sat warmly with the children, inquiring about their studies and daily lives and asking whether they were enjoying themselves in Beijing.

Sister Yuanzheng told the children: “Life is a continuous journey of turning dreams into reality—only with dreams does life have color. As long as you keep striving to build and pursue your dreams, they will surely come true!”
Generals Wang Xiangdong and Zhang Xuemin also urged the children: “Dreams are not mere daydreams; they become beautiful only when grounded in practical effort and driven by unwavering dedication. I hope you will hold fast to your dreams and strive with all your might.”

Director Yu Ning is a true professional trained at the Academy of Military Arts; she sings beautifully and dances gracefully, often collaborating on stage with top-tier pop stars. Today, Director Yu was especially delighted—she sang and danced for the children, earning round after round of enthusiastic applause. As she stepped off the stage, she warmly embraced each child, her affection evident in every gesture. With deep emotion, she told them: “Only with dreams can life truly blossom! Only with dreams can the path ahead be illuminated. Dreams will give you boundless courage and strength, enabling you to straighten your shoulders once more after every fall on the road ahead.” She added, “The Chinese Dream is the dream of our youth! When our youth are strong, China will be strong! I hope you will study hard and join us in realizing the great dream of national rejuvenation!”

Yu Ning’s remarks were met with enthusiastic applause from everyone present!
The children hardly had time to savor this festive feast; instead, they devoted themselves wholeheartedly to singing and dancing—performances that were far from polished but brimming with sincerity and simplicity—using these art forms to convey their understanding of the world and of love, and to express the gratitude and joy in their hearts.

Children use their tender, childlike body language to converse with the world, with their inner selves, and with their future.
They may not yet be able to describe their dreams with perfect precision, but at least they now have a starting point for them.

Gao Ling is the well-known enthusiastic elder sister in our Gao family. She has sponsored public welfare activities initiated by clan members dozens of times. Today’s Beijing reception for the “Marswell Dream-Building Summer Camp for Teenagers in Western Hubei to Visit Beijing” is hosted by the Beijing Gao Clan Association, with Gao Ling and Gao Chikai as the main sponsors.
Sister Gao Ling also donated a “Lucky Picture” to the summer camp. The painting depicts a proud rooster standing tall and full of vigor, symbolizing that hope lies in the morning—and in new beginnings.

President Gao Chikai, who is currently away on business, also sent a message, in which he urged the children: “Those who have accomplished great things in the past not only possessed extraordinary talent but also unwavering determination. As long as you hold fast to your dreams and work hard with perseverance, you will surely go on to a bright future!”

Mr. Gao Peng, a member of the Zhao clan, presented each child with a commemorative postcard marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People’s Artist Zhao Dan.

Several members of the Gao clan have been tirelessly attending to the children, leaving them both exhausted and overjoyed. They emphasize that, as a social organization, the core mission of the clan association is to serve the community, shoulder a share of social responsibility, and thereby demonstrate its social value. Today, we are tired—but happy.

The reception has come to an end. The children bid us a reluctant farewell, as they are about to embark on their journey home. Their trip to Beijing—a journey of chasing dreams—will undoubtedly become an unforgettable chapter in their lives, perhaps adding a vibrant touch to their new beginnings and fresh aspirations.
Young men should harbor lofty aspirations; their time to strive with vigor will surely come!
We wish that every child may have their own dreams, their own journey of striving, and their own moments of glory in life.
Be a young person with dreams, and be a member of the Gao family with dreams.
Dreams are a lamp in each of our hearts that will never go out!
