27 Jul,2020
China’s Mars exploration program is the country’s first-ever Mars exploration initiative. This mission marks China’s inaugural Mars exploration endeavor, during which a Mars rover will be deployed to achieve soft landing on the Martian surface, thereby accomplishing orbiting, landing, and roving exploration in a single step.
At 12:41 on July 23, 2020, the Long March-5 Y4 carrier rocket lifted off from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in China, carrying the Tianwen-1 probe—the country’s first Mars exploration mission—successfully placing it into its designated orbit and marking the start of China’s journey to explore Mars. This represents a major milestone in China’s Mars exploration program.
This Mars exploration mission marks a significant step forward for China on its journey of planetary exploration, signaling the country’s imminent entry into the ranks of nations engaged in Mars exploration. China is accelerating the development of its space industry and actively engaging in international space exchanges and cooperation, thereby ensuring that the achievements of its space activities are realized on a broader scale, at a deeper level, and at a higher standard.
Marswell extends its best wishes for the complete success of the first Mars exploration mission!
