Comrade Gao Huoxing, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the live broadcast event of Hubei Province’s 2025 Special Action for Employment Services for Veterans.

On July 18, 2025, the “2025 Special Campaign for Employment Services for Veterans” livestream event, hosted by the Hubei Provincial Department of Veterans Affairs, was successfully held in Wuhan. Comrade Gao Huoxing, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., was invited to attend as a representative of veteran entrepreneurs and shared in-depth insights on topics such as employment policies for veterans, job suitability, and career development.
From the Barracks to the Factory Floor: The Unchanging Commitment to Responsibility and Accountability
General Manager Gao Maxing fondly recalled his military career during the live broadcast. In 1980, he served as a squad leader in the Hainan Air Force unit, where his military service forged his tenacious will and rigorous work style. After retiring, he infused the sense of responsibility and commitment of a soldier into the company’s development, leading Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd. to grow into a modern food enterprise that emphasizes quality and social responsibility.
During the livestream, Gao Maxing, General Manager of the company, stated: “From the military camp to the factory floor, only the battlefield has changed—what remains constant is our sense of responsibility. The discipline, execution capability, and team collaboration skills honed by veterans in the armed forces are precisely the professional qualities most essential to the food industry.”
JiLi Food Provides a Broad Platform for Development for Veterans
In response to the employment concerns of retired military personnel, General Manager Gao Houxing provided a detailed introduction to JiLi Food’s job suitability, career development pathways, and welfare and benefit policies:
1. Job Fit: Quickly get up to speed and leverage your strengths
Standardized operations positions—such as machine operators, sorting and packing workers, and automation equipment commissioning technicians—are well-suited for veterans, who can quickly excel thanks to their ability to adapt to standardized procedures.
2. Career Development: Dual-Track Promotion to Support Growth
Technical positions (e.g., Production Supervisor, Equipment Commissioning Team Leader)
Management Track (Management Trainees, Department Heads)
The company offers a dedicated training program for veterans, encompassing pre-employment training in food safety and production standards, skills enhancement in areas such as machinery operation and quality management certification, and leadership development.
3. Generous Benefits: Comprehensive Support for Peace-of-Mind Employment
Compensation Structure: Base Salary + Position-Based Pay + Full-Presence Bonus + Performance Bonus + Overtime Pay + Innovation Award and Outstanding Employee Recognition.
Holiday Benefits: Statutory holidays, paid annual leave, and family visit leave (available to employees whose parents are 60 or older).
Living Allowance: Free room and board (dormitories are equipped with air conditioning, water heaters, and washing machines; 2–3 people share a room).
Employee Care: Annual team-building activities and domestic and international employee travel programs for outstanding staff (e.g., Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, etc.).
4. Employment Stability: Tiered Contracts for Long-Term Growth
The initial contract is for 1 to 3 years, including a 3- to 6-month probationary period; subsequent renewals are for 3 to 5 years or an open-ended contract.
Sixty percent of the company’s workforce are long-term employees, and its corporate culture emphasizes the motto “Geely is our home—everyone loves it,” resulting in an exceptionally low employee turnover rate.
5. Preferential Policies Exclusive to Veterans
Three priority principles:
① Priority shall be given to recruiting retired military personnel when positions are vacant;
② Prioritize resource allocation during skills training;
③ Priority shall be given to units’ meritorious service in promotion and performance appraisal.
General Manager Gao Moxing emphasized: “We don’t just provide jobs—we aim to build a ‘base for re-creating value’ for veterans. Here, the very hands that once held a rifle can now safeguard the food safety that is so vital to the people’s well-being!”
Conclusion: Continuing the Glory, Building the Future Together
At the end of the live broadcast, General Manager Gao Houxing extended a sincere invitation to the vast number of retired military personnel: “Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd. is willing to be a solid backing for our comrades-in-arms on their path of transformation. On this ‘battlefield’ without smoke, let us join hands and write new glories!”
Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd. will continue to fulfill its social responsibilities, provide high-quality employment platforms for veterans, and help them achieve new successes in their new positions!
