To effectively carry out the “Charitable Assistance for Education” program during the 2019 school opening season and help impoverished students successfully complete their studies and grow up healthily, on August 29, 2019, Zhao Hongwu, Head of the Comprehensive Management Department of the Hubei Provincial Youth Development Foundation, Ms. Chen, the secretary, Hao Yuhong, Chairwoman of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., as well as Gao Moxing, Gao Aimin, Zhang Hui, and Zhang Peiheng from the Marswell Scholarship Foundation attended this symposium.
At the meeting, Mr. Gao, General Manager of Marswell, expressed his gratitude to Minister Zhao and his delegation for their visit to conduct research and provide guidance. He then introduced the proposed framework for the board of directors of the Marswell Education Assistance Foundation, which is slated to include positions such as advisor, honorary chairman, chairman (chairman of the board), vice chairmen (rotating chairmen), directors, and supervisors. The foundation is currently in the preparatory stage, and once the board of directors is established, all related education assistance matters will be subject to the board’s review.
On the occasion of the start of the new school term, Gao Maxing, General Manager of Hubei JiLi Food Co., Ltd., showed great concern for the children at Dасунshu Primary School and the Central School in Changleping Town. He arranged for 240 impoverished students from the two schools to each receive two sets of school uniforms and one set of bedding, ensuring that the students would present a unified, clean, and comfortable appearance at school. Currently, the company is following the procurement requirements of the Provincial Youth Foundation to select manufacturers and coordinate with the schools to determine the students’ heights, so as to complete the custom orders as soon as possible and deliver them to the schools. General Manager Gao stated: “We want the children to wear brand-new school uniforms at the beginning of the new semester, presenting a positive and energetic attitude as they embark on their new academic year.”
Since the establishment of the “Marswell Scholarship Fund” on June 18, 2019, a total of RMB 256,000 has been donated by caring individuals. At the meeting, Minister Zhao also stated that the fund would be managed in a transparent and open manner, so that donors could understand how every penny was used.
In its future funding initiatives, the foundation stated that it will not only focus on children’s education but also ensure their nutritional well-being, striving to provide each child with a glass of milk and an egg every day.
Since its establishment, the Charity Scholarship Fund has enjoyed strong support from caring enterprises and individuals, garnering a positive social response. At present, the fund is continuously refining its operational mechanisms, actively raising funds, and extending assistance to more impoverished students in mountainous areas to help them complete their education.
